Field Service Technician

Location: High Voltage Service Group located in Houston, Texas

• Required experience: minimum 2 year tech school graduate with 3 years hands-on experience in troubleshooting & resolving electrical distribution system problems, adept in protective relay, kwh meter, transformer & breaker testing.
• Also acceptable is candidates with 5 years experience with an electrical utility or another electrical testing company.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate.
• Customer contact and drive to exceed client’s expectations.
• Experience in project management.
• Ability to complete work in a safe, on schedule & professional manner.
• The majority of work is in the Houston Area, but some travel opportunities exist.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, & background checks and have clean driving history.
• Salary to commiserate with experience.

Quality Control Inspectors

Location: Technical Products Business Unit located in Beaumont, Texas

Job description:

• Performing test and inspection of finished manufactured electrical equipment.
• Inspectors are required to examine products for conformity to drawings and internal quality standards.
• Inspectors are required to document inspections, be able to use hand tools and electrical testing instruments.
• Qualified applicants must be able to work in a team environment and accept the challenge of working on several types of product lines.

• AETI currently has need from both entry level and experienced personnel for these positions.
• Communicates effectively with supervisors and peers
• Applies accurate logic in solving problems
• Learns and understands new information quickly
• Communicates effectively and relates professionally to supervisors, peers and customers
• Understands Production Document Packages (electrical schematics) with little supervision
• Understands & can apply fundamental electrical theory
• Basic knowledge of electricity (i.e. Ohm's Law)
• Can use hand tools efficiently
• Experienced in use of MS Office software, specifically Word and Excel
